Editing a Future Threat Page

1. Select and open the future threats page that you would like to edit.

2. Click on the grey 'edit' tab located to the left of the view tab.

3. If you wish to select a new hazard probability, highlight the correct value i.e. 'High' for a 1 in 10 year event, 'Medium' for a 1 in 100 year event and 'Low' for a 1 in 1000 year event. If the hazard probability is unknown select 'unknown'.

4. Do not change the title. The hazard type should not need to be changed either.

5. If you wish to add information add the text to the 'Text' field. Please make sure that when you add text you reference properly. For further information on referencing see the 'Adding references' page in the 'Help' section. The references must also be added in the order that they appear in the text.

6. If you wish to add a state/province for the future threat use the drop down menu for the 'State/Province' field.

7. The 'Country' field should not need to be altered.

8. If you wish to add a particular latitude and longitude value for the event, add the figures in the 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' fields. If the latitude is west enter a minus sign (-) before the value. If the longitude is south enter a minus sign (-) before the value.

9. If you wish to upload an image click 'Browse' to locate the image and then click 'Upload'.

10. To preview the changes that you have made and what the page will look like when you submit click the 'Preview' tab.

11. If you wish to submit the 'Future Threat' page to the site click on the 'Submit' tab.
